Hey Pizza Lovers, Party Time!

Pizza lovers I have a fantastic post dedicated to you! Yeah this sounds like a weird thing to be talking about when every other foodie is sharing Christmas cookies and other holiday fare right now. 😂🍕🎄 But I do have a pizza that works perfectly for the holidays.

And actually why isn’t there a national pizza lovers holiday? I mean they even have a grandparents day, which I’ve never understood honestly. They already have mother’s and father’s day, and in order to be a grandparent you need to be a mum or dad to begin with, so what’s up with that??

First I want to share my pizza above with you. The toppings are fig and arugula with a drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar. You can also add some roasted sweet red peppers to give it a Christmassy vibe.

This very simple recipe is on my Instagram, but you can also see it here and here just in case my Instagram account disappears. (Check out this post about those issues, and why I’m backing up my recipes.)

My husband prefers his salad on the side, but I actually enjoy the flavor and texture mix when it’s combined like this. If you’re like my husband, you can omit the salad toppings. If you’re like me, definitely pile them on the pizza.

Here are even more recipes for all us pizza lovers!

And here is the pizza I was raving about. This Vegan Apple & Butternut Squash Flatbread looks so festive!

This pretty holiday pizza is from Pickles & Honey! It also sounds scrumptious, so I had to share it with you guys. While it would make a wonderful meal, served with soup and salad, the festive colors also make it a perfect hors d’oeuvre for your holiday parties. Just slice the pizza on a diagonal, or maybe cut into little fir trees.

Definitely check out all this colorful Unicorn Toast Pizza too!

I’ll share more typical holiday fare as I come across it, but I think pizza is perfect for the winter holidays. You can scatter pomegranate arils across a topping of greens, and it’s a very pretty way to dress up your pizza.

Oh and hey, here’s another idea. I ate a pizza last month that would also be great for this holiday.

It had cranberry relish and candied spicy walnuts on it. I know it seems like weird toppings, but it was absolutely delicious.

Also soup and pizza are great combinations, especially this creamy Zuppa Toscana. Enjoy!

Notes

I love Kite Hill's Chive Cream Cheese, but their Jalapeño Cream Cheese sounds so amazing too.

I also love Miyoko's Kitchen Sensational Scallion.

For homemade cheese: Jules Aron has a fantastic vegan cheese cookbook that you should get. It's called Vegan Cheese: Simple, Delicious Plant-Based Recipes, and the recipes are delicious and pretty easy to make.
