What I Feed My Unicorns

What I Feed my Unicorns is the perfect title for my post. That’s because I know what unicorns love to eat.

How do I know? Well whenever I make rainbow food, especially with Unicorn Superfoods, I can’t turn my back or my treat disappears. Everyone claims, “It wasn’t me” when questioned. So it had to be a unicorn! 🦄

The rainbow food coloring I use to attract unicorns are 100% natural and healthy too.

One of my (I mean their) favs is the pink fig toast pictured above. This was regrammed by another figgy toast fan, showing that unicorns aren’t the only ones obsessed with it. I slathered non-dairy cream cheese (Kite Hill and Trader Joe’s are the best) on pecan raisin sourdough. The recipe for the pink cream cheese is here.

I used crispy rye crackers for another unicorn treat. (Photo above.) Wafer crackers are fantastic “canvases” for your beautiful creations. They also taste amazing loaded with juicy, summer fruit! As you can see, unicorn treats are easy to make, and I think they’d be fun and unique party nibbles too. My colorful recipe is on this post .

Definitely had to include French toast in this round up too, because even unicorns know the importance of breakfast. (And yes, that line works really well with your kids 😂). My favorite type of bread is artisan, because artisan bread keeps its shape much better than loaves with softer crusts.

This French toast stack was made with rustic dark chocolate chunk, cherry bread. It has such has a decadent taste! I didn’t add a recipe to the post . It’s very simple though. You just soak the slices in canned coconut milk with a dash of vanilla extract, sprinkle of cinnamon, and also nutritional yeast (for an “eggy” flavor).

Here are a some more colorful meals you’ll enjoy too!

🦄 A unicorn Buddha bowl is a flavorful and very fun way to add more healthy rainbow food to your diet.
