Quotes, Thoughts & Shares

I love quotes, and I actually made a tumblr account filled with them. I would have liked more of a variety, but I received so many messages thanking me for the ones I started sharing I just stayed with that theme.

As much as I enjoyed my quiet little corner and nurturing it with poetry, quotes, and the life stories I found, after awhile I started to feel hemmed in by what I felt I had to share instead of posting what I wanted to.

So I followed the advice above and am no longer posting on that account. I won’t delete it though, so please enjoy.

Maybe what would spark my creativity again is a tumblr blog with a mix of humor, uplifting lessons, soul searching, and whatever else caught my mood. It’s so easy to get boxed in though, and that might happen again. Some of it comes from the social media platform, some from people who follow your blog, but I guess it comes down to yourself as well. Trying to make everyone else happy.

It’s not that I’m a pushover or feel the need to bow to other’s wishes. It has more to do with feeling the responsibility to take care of others. Do you think this has a lot to do with being a woman, a mother? Do you feel like this also?

And Ha! This is another area where I wonder if it’s because I’m a female or just a control freak. 😂 I cannot be the only one when it comes to this, so maybe the next time that control urge takes over we take a deep breath and do this instead…

Humor is a great stress buster, and it actually works better for me than deep breathing. I’ve been guilty of trying to stifle laughter at the most inappropriate times though, so maybe I should work on my meditation skills. lol
